Information contained on a hard disk can be recovered, even if a file has been deleted, a hard disk has been wiped or encryption software has been utilised...

It is vitally important you do not use your employer’s computer to prepare a document or make notes.  Remember, if you access a file, the time and date will be indelibly recorded. Usually, this is not a particular problem if numerous people have unrestricted access to the computer – anybody could have looked at the document.

If you are going to copy a file, copy it to a USB device but do not open the file to copy it. Make sure your USB device does not have a digital label i.e. a name.
