British Airways – Industrial Action by Cabin Crew
Whistle Blowers Press Agency is now aware both ground staff and cabin crew have been threatened with instant dismissal if they discuss the present proposal for strike action with a third party (this follows suspensions, which occurred after a BA trawl through “Face Book†entries). Not only are cabin crew prevented from engaging in legitimate conversation with passengers, who are understandably concerned about the ramification of the dispute, they are forbidden from discussing the issues with fellow members of staff.
It is clear staff morale is at an all time low and if there is any truth in the draconian measures taken by BA to stifle genuine comment by staff, their practices need to be exposed – freedom of speech is a basic human right that should not be suppressed and personal opinion should not be subjugated.
