NHS - Treatment of severe autism
Whistle Blowers Press Agency has been contacted by the mother of a young girl who has been in the care of her PCT (Primary Care Trust). Her child was so severely autistic that whilst in hospital developed malnutrition and nearly died.
When she complained to the paediatrician she was told " I don't know what you are making a fuss about, children in India survive on a lot less". However children in India do not have the life saving qualities of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
After a spell at Great Ormond Street, the child was returned to the PCT and again became malnourished, the mother is beside herself. By and large the NHS is a wonderful organisation let down by a few bad apples. Do you have a similar experience?
