Unfair Recovery Procedures Adopted By The CSA

Whistle Blowers was recently contacted by a CSA employee who claimed the agency had adopted a policy to force parents in arrears to increase payment by the use of credit cards, albeit existing repayment agreements were in place.

CSA staff are being pressurised to meet increasing revenue targets, despite the fact many parents are unable to afford the extra payments demanded by the CSA.

If you are a parent who has been subjected to aggressive collection techniques or if you are a CSA employee, who has been forced to adopt the new directive, we would like to hear from you.

Employees are being pressured by internal targets to meet these goals and are “taken off line routinely to make aggressive outbound calls.” Our contact claims there is little regard paid to personal circumstances including those who are currently unemployed or on benefits and this has upset many staff members. According to our contact, in some cases, the agency is even partly at fault for not tracking payments accurately! Do you currently work for the CSA and are familiar with this new directive? Are you a non-resident who has received a phone call or been pressured into paying by credit card? Whistle Blowers would like to hear from you if you have had any encounters with the CSA lately regarding this matter.
