Insurance Companies Denying Liability

Whistle Blowers Press Agency has been contacted by a classical singer, who used an insurance broker to obtain her buildings insurance.  The insurance was used by her lenders to indemnify her if a problem occurred with the structure of the building.  When subsidence occured and the insured party made a claim, the insurance company denied liability, albeit they had authorised the builders to complete restoration work.

The builder's preparatory work made the house uninhabitable and our classical singer is now homeless and thousands out of pocket.  We have seen the documentation and are convinced the insurers are trying to wriggle off the hook - they have denied the broker acted for them and have refused to negotiate with the insured because she was a lessee rather than a freeholder.

The matter is awaiting determination by the High Court but nevertheless, Whistle Blowers would like to hear from you if you know of anyone experiencing similar problems.
